Smoking, Alcohol and Drugs Policy

Al Haditha Energy SAOC is committed to maintaining a safe workplace free from the effects of alcohol, intoxicating substances, and illegal drugs for all employees, visitors, customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
To ensure the safety of employees, protect Company assets, and uphold community standards, it is the policy of Al Haditha that any individual under the influence of alcohol, intoxicating substances, or illegal drugs is strictly prohibited from entering Al Haditha facilities or engaging in any Al Haditha related business or operations. Employees impaired by such substances pose a risk to themselves, their co-workers, and the Company, and as such, must not participate in any work-related activities under these conditions.
Al Haditha is committed to complying with all applicable legal requirements in the Sultanate of Oman regarding the handling, possession, and consumption of alcohol, prohibited drugs, and other intoxicating substances. In alignment with this commitment, Al Haditha enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding drugs and alcohol in the workplace. Accordingly, the following activities are strictly prohibited:
- Working while under the influence of any drugs, alcohol, or other intoxicating substances.
- Processing, consuming, dispensing, distributing, manufacturing, selling, offering to sell, or purchasing drugs, alcohol, or other intoxicants on Company premises or within Company-operated camps.
- Using prescribed drugs that impair an employee’s ability to perform their job safely and effectively.
- Smoking in designated no-smoking areas, including offices, rooms, warehouses, vehicles (including hired vehicles), and other work locations.
Compliance with these policies is mandatory for all employees and individuals engaged in Al Haditha operations.
Drug and Alcohol Test:
Al Haditha reserves the right to inspect its facilities and conduct drug and alcohol testing on employees as necessary.
Disciplinary Action:
Any breach of this policy will result in immediate dismissal from Al Haditha.
Line managers are accountable for ensuring effective implementation of this policy.
